I'm trying not to shop too much right now, which is rather trixty for me. If I'm missing a piece, I just go buy it instead of forcing myself to be creative and putting together new looks. So more and more you'll see "old" pieces in "new" ways.
I've had all but the blouse for over a year now, but never put a look together quite like this. I've worn the skirt with a navy argyle sweater or a solid navy top and green beads.
This look is a bit whimsical for me, but it was certainly a good change.

Blouse: Old Navy, Skirt and cardigan: JCrew, Boots: Nine West, Specs: Prada

The next look is also a remix of some pieces I've had for awhile.

Jeans: 7FAM (Buffalo Exchange), Blouse and cardigan: JCrew, Boots: Liz Claiborne
The boots were my first tall boots purchase since moving to Texas. The style is definitely dated, but I think wearing them under jeans gives them a more classic look.

This look is my version of 'mom on the go' or a 'flop proof' look. Jeans are always the first thing I grab when I don't know what to wear.

Jeans: Gap Curvy bootcut, Blouse: Ann Taylor, Tank: Marshalls, Shoes: JCP (over 4 years ago!)
I love this AT top. The color is perfect for me, and the style is very flattering. I've had these boots since before I got married. They're even more hideous than the above pair, but they look great under jeans. So there you go!

My last look is what I wore when I met Angie over at YouLookFab for lunch in Seattle. I went up to Seattle to visit my family for my (28th) birthday, and snuck in a quick visit with dear Angie.

Jeans: David Kahn (swapped from my dear friend Sandy), Tee: Target via Goodwill, Jacket: LAMB (Nordstrom Rack, baby!), Necklace: Martin + Osa, Shoes: Me Too Frost pumps
Slowly but surely this combo is turning into my uniform. Jeans, of course, with oxfords (I have two pair and they get worn a LOT), a structured jacket with great detailing, and a simple top with one statement piece.
Voila.
My sister Rachel styled my hair this day, and I love how she did it. I'm still trying to duplicate it!
